INTEGRITY
“The integrity of the upright shall guide them:
But the perverseness of transgressors shall destroy them.”
PROVERBS 11:3
A living, vital relationship with Jesus Christ brings the knowledge of the Bible’s teachings of absoluteness. Jesus Christ is the Apostle or Sent One of God to bring revelation of who God is and what His purposes are. Jesus began to reveal whom the Father was when He stated that He was in the Father, and the Father was in Him. Therefore, if one has seen the revelation of Jesus, then one has seen the revelation of the Father. “Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and comes down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning (James 1:17). This is a revelation of the integrity of God and His Word. Absolutely, God’s integrity is in tact. He is just, faithful, honest, true, and dependable because He never changes. He is always the same…faithful, honest, true, dependable because His integrity is unwavering. His Word is forever settled in heaven. His faithfulness and dependability is unto all generations (Psalm 119:89-90). The Bible is the divinely inspired Word of God and His Truth to man (2nd Timothy 3:16). God the Father is the eternal Creator, Redeemer, Sustainer, and Judge of the Universe. His love and compassion for man was so great that He could not allow him to perish. Love found a Way! In His integrity, He became a Love-carrier to redeem man from sin. There are no shadows or grayness in His truth. God, because there was no greater, swore by Himself as He cut an everlasting covenant with Abraham for mankind’s redemption. He told Abraham, “Surely blessing I will bless thee, and multiplying I will multiply thee” making of thee a great nation (Hebrews 6:14). God elected to choose Abraham through which to bless all the nations of the world. God told Abraham, “I will bless them that bless thee, and curse them which curse thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed” (Genesis 12:3). God’s Word will never fail or return void to Him. God elected to use an individual—Abraham, and then choose the nation of Israel to be His love-carriers to infect the world with the Good News that Jesus saves! That means “love” (agape/hesed/love), will never fail. Jesus said, “Heaven and earth shall pass away, but My Words shall not pass away (Matthew 24:35). “Til heaven and earth pass, one jot or one title shall in no wise pass from the law” till all things be fulfilled (Matthew 5:18). His Word is absolute. He is a God in whom there is no changing or variableness. His integrity is established in the world He created. He upholds all things by the Word of His power, not by the power of His Word. The Word, the substance of faith, upholds all the power that He created. We can trust and depend completely on the integrity of God and His Word.
