DESTINY - PART 1 - THE HARVEST OF ABUNDANCE

Ah, Lord God! Behold, Thou has made the heaven and the earth by Thy great power and stretched out arm, and there is nothing too hard for You: You show lovingkindness unto thousands, and recompense the iniquity of the fathers into the bosom of their children after them: the Great, the Mighty God, the LORD of Hosts, is His name. Great in counsel, and mighty in work: for thine eyes are open upon all the ways of the sons of men: to give every one according to his ways, and according to the fruit of his doings: which has set signs and wonders in the land of Egypt, even unto this day, and in Israel, and among other men; and hast made thee a name, as at this day….Jeremiah 32:17-20

God wants His people separated unto Him-not to punish them or make it hard on them-but to separate them unto His blessings. God’s great love is unconditionally, and “whosoever will” call upon Him will be saved and delivered from temporal and eternal evils. But God’s blessings are for those who have separated themselves unto Him to walk in His ways and do His biddings to extend the kingdom of Christ.

God has a plan for each man or woman’s life. Therefore you has a destiny in God, but each person must seek the LORD to find out what that plan is and how to follow Christ to the end of that destiny. The Lord desires that each one come into His abundance and walk in His blessings. Then it is up to us to become a good steward of the blessings He provides.

“Destiny is defined as “what becomes of a person or thing in the end,” or it can be defined as one’s lot in life, the place where one is sent. Your destination depends upon the seed that you sow in life. Accepting the redemption that Christ provided and being obedient to God—His laws and His ways—paves the destined pathway to heaven, success, and eternal life. The destined pathway of death, destruction, failure, and hell is lined with the sins of pride, arrogance, rebellion, good intentions, and self-inportance. The worlds way to success is to put self ahead of all others but Christ reveals that the way to success is to humble yourself before God and put Him first place in your life. What does it profit a man or woman if they gain all of the world’s pleasure, fame, and wealth, but lose his or her soul? What can a man or woman give in exchange for his or her soul? The difference between success and failure will be the results of the seeds you sow by your own attitudes about what you believe.”

“There was a man who had plenty. Instead of helping his community by giving to them, he selfishly stored all of his abundance of grain of wheat, and rice and millet in barns. Time and again, he would tell others how grat he was and how powerful and rich he was with all those barns of grain. Full of self-sufficiency and self-exaltation, he thought he had enough money to buy whatever he needed and buy the control of the lives of other men. He had such an abundance of material wealth, he decided to pull down his barns and build even more expensive one to hold his grain. He told himself that he had enough goods laid up for many, many years, and that he would never want for anything or need anything from anyone. He told himself, “Eat, drink, and be merry.” You have plenty! Your’re in control! Then the Lord spoke to him, “Thou fool! This night thy soul is required of thee! When you are dead, then whose shall all these things belong to which you have provided?” Before the dawning of the next day, all of his self-sufficiency was gone. What a destiny! He could have been such a blessing to those around him; instead he was a nasty penny-pincher, hording up wealth for his grand self. He could have been praising the Lord for all he had, but he was praising himself instead. He could have been exemplifying Jesus with his love, faith, and purity, but he chose his own way. The person who lays up treasure for himself and is not rich toward God will have the destiny of this man also. Whatsoever a man sows that will he also reap. Your destiny starts in what you are willing to sow (give) unto the Lord. You choose your destiny by your choices in life (Luke 12:16-21; Matthew 16:26).”

First of Three…Excerpts from Chapter 21

What you sow and grow is where your harvest of abundance will come from. Do you sow seeds of discord among your fellow employees or do you like to live in harmony with others? God blesses those actions and attitudes that exemplify Christ!
