“God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets, hath in these last days spoken unto us by His Son, whom He has appointed heir of all things, by whom also He made the worlds; Who being the brightness of His glory, and the express image of His person, and upholding all things by the Word of His power, when He had by Himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high”…HEBREWS 1:1-3.
John the Revelator saw: “the great city, the holy Jerusalem, descending out of heaven from God, having the glory of God: and her light was like unto a stone most precious, even like a jasper stone, clear as crystal…REVELATION 21:10-11
Glory, glorious, glorified…such wondrous words. They remind us of the Artist, the One who is the Source of all glory, splendor, and beauty…the glory of each flower designed with finery; the glory of each bright new morning sky, the glory of each intrinsic snowflake with no two flakes alike, the glory of the stars as they shine so brilliantly at night, the glory of autumn scenes as the leaves turn such radiant, colorful reds, yellows, and browns, the nighttime sky is His canvas of warmth in the darkness, the glory of each loving drop of golden sunlight felt on each face, the glory of spring with all its beauty as winter gives way to the lush green and rosy colors of all living plant life, the glory of each sunrise that brings the joy and peace of His Presence, and the glory of His love as He puts His arms around us and says, “Yes, you are loved!” These things concern earthly glory, but eternal glory is seen…in the face of Jesus blessing the little children; glory is seen in the plan of redemption for mankind; glory is seen in all that belongs to the realm of eternity and heaven; glory is seen in God’s judgment and perfect justice; glory is seen in each miracle of God’s grace; glory is seen in the flaming fire of the Holy Ghost as He purges and cleanses from sin; glory is seen in the resurrection of Jesus; glory is seen in the everlasting love of God; and glory is seen in His Presence. Oh, the glory of Your Presence, Lord! We, Your people, do give you reverence, as Your glory fills our hearts and lives. Lord, be blessed by our praise, as we glory in Your embrace. Praise and worship bring His children into the glory of His majestic, holy presence. Then the manifestation of the glory of His Presence bring His children into a more intense praise and worship of the Everlasting Almighty God who is holy, holy, holy. His ability to know all, to see everything, to have all power, and to be everywhere is glory. Each privilege that God has given man, such as breathing air, walking in sunlight, feeling the unseen wind is a manifestation of His glory. Israel in the wilderness saw God’s glory as a pillar of fire by night and a pillar of cloud by day. In churches, the heaviness of glory can be felt and sometimes seen as a cloud, as sinners receive the Lord as their Saviour. …
The Apostle Paul reveals there are different kinds of glory….
Glory defined is the nature and acts of God in self-manifestation. Glory is who He is, what He is, and what He does. The glory…the wind, the fire, the smoke, the beauty, the fullness…refers to the supernatural life and essence of God, the very power that makes Him God. Revelations of glory…
